part 2 chapter 7-9
Luke was drooping baskets like craze and he got better.That night nick was doing his home work and herd the gate open and Trent and Steve where shooting hops.The next day at tryouts Trent got in a fight with coach and got kick out and was told to write a letter saying sorry.The next day Trent came in and gave cough his letter and cough told him to wright it again so he did and he turned it in and got to play again.

Nick grades are bad he needs to improve or he would not be on the team eny more.Dad wanted to spend the day with nick and scott.But scott could`t because he had to work on songs but nick said yes and dad has a new ball.Tryouts began.

ones when they got there court he never went to the high schools park.Dad never came to nicks games but he went to scotts games.scott made nick get of court so he could play agenst his frends.

Night Hoops Chapters 1-3
Night Hoops by Carl Deuker
In the beggining of the book, Nick and his friends were playing basketball against Trent. The score was pretty close when Trent's older brother Zack called for Trent to come with him someplace. One by one Nicks friends began to go, leaving Nick shooting hoops all alone. Soon after, Nick goes home where he walks in on his parents fighting about his older brother Scott. His dad really wants Scott to play basketball and take his life farther than what he did. They soon swiched the argument over to Nick. His mom did not like him hanging out by the basketball court. She thought there was too much bad news for him down there, but his dad disagreed. Eventually they see Nick and stop arguing because it is time for dinner. At dinner his parents didnt talk except when asking to pass the mash potatoes or the mustard. Now its monday and both boys hear slamming doors. Nicks dad invited Trent's mom's boyfriend Mr. Clay to help with something in the back yard. Nick followed his dad out there to find that they were going to build a basketball court. Nicks dad allowed nick to help Mr. Clay while he went to work. Later in the day they had to outline done for the basketball court. Now they are just waiting for the concrete to come.
